CAREER

Mark Robinson is a seasoned Silicon Valley entrepreneur and executive with over two decades of experience in mobile applications, security, artificial intelligence, analytics, big data and advertising solutions. He was responsible for the successful product launches of the 1st GUI Browser, MMS client, FOTA system and WAP advertisement platform in the mobile space.
Mark's products have been adopted by 1000s of companies, used by over 2 billion people worldwide and earned over $5 billion in cumulative revenue. He has also managed $100 million-dollar IP portfolios for a wide range of companies.

Mark founded and had successful exits with Mobile Clarity (2008), Aspira Networks (2011), Kolos (2018) and has held senior management and executive roles with Ricoh Corporation, A.G. Edwards, Kyocera Wireless, Phone.com, Openwave and Innovation Norway. In all, he has participated in 3 acquisitions, several mergers and 2 companies listed on NASDAQ.
Recently, Mark co-founded Kolos to develop one of the largest data centers in the world, raising $2.5 million in seed capital and worked with investment banks to raise over $400 million. Kolos was successfully sold in 2018.

Mark currently holds numerous board positions, is a guest lecturer at several universities and associations, an author and a business advisor for companies throughout the world. He also founded Presidio Innovation, a premier boutique product design firm specializing in software.

ACHIEVEMENTS

At Kolos, working hand-in-hand with the architectural firm HDR, Mark created a design for the Kolos Center which has been heralded as one of the most forward thinking architectural achievements in the industry. It has won numerous architectural awards including the prestigious Architizer A+ Award.
​
Mark published his first book, Lean Business Planning in 2016. This book as been used as the cornerstone of the Lean Business Platform. This innovative cloud-based tool has enabled thousands of entrepreneurs throughout Europe to plan and test their business ideas.
​
Mark published his second book, The Lighthouse Christmas in 2020. This book was written for his son, Andy as a holiday gift and later published for a broader audience.

FAMILY & FUN
​
Mark Robinson is a father, a traveler and an author whose work takes him around the world and off the beaten path. He takes frequent trips with his family and whenever his work allows, he tries to sneak in an adventure or two.
​
Mark lives in Palo Alto, California where he has developed a strong passion for cycling, architecture and cartography...all of which seem to show up in in his work life and in adventures he has with family and friends.
